This coin shows a double front and rear profile. (depending on light source)

The Hub doubling on the front of the profile (especially on the forehead) is common for most early Lincoln Cents. However, what you seem to be pointing out seems to be where the profile was 're-engraved' to prolong the the life of the design. A trench like cut surrounds the entire profile. This happens in a few years, but was prevalent the early 40s.
