To the list: Just got approved for the forum, so I thought I'd intro myself. Name is Dennis Skea, from Poughkeepsie, NY. Just started into coins via the transportation token route, and am interested in errors. Right now I just get bank rolls of cents, nickles, and dimes, search them for errors, then reroll and exchange. Not much yet: a Jefferson nickel with a small cud on reverse, a type II cent planchet, and a couple of weak strike coins( or more probably excess circulation wear).
I did it right: bought the books before I bought the coins. The only purchases so far have been from the Mint and a few purchases on e-bay. Reading Margolis book now.
I'll probably lurk until I get something for show and tell.
Dennis

Hi Dennis and welcome to the forum. Feel free to lurk and learn as long and as often as you like. One point I would like to make is that you specified you collect errors. When you say errors, are you only meaning clips, cuds, etc., or do you also mean varieties (doubled dies, RPMs). We deal mainly with varieties here, but do have a section where folks can discuss error coins. Once again...welcome!
