I have a 1968 proof set that has doubling on the 1968s cent. I have to match the markers up to the markers noted on CONECA to see which one it is. My question is how to find out the value of a proof coin DDO and in general are they more valuable than circulated coins since they are in such good condition?
I think the coin is listed in CONECA as DDO-005 PR-5-o-ii-C and is also listed as FS-027.5. It has the die chip above the first T of trust and the scratch on the rim southeast of the mintmark.
I was going to put up all my mint and proof sets for sale to raise some $ to buy more wheaties to search. I thought I had already searched all of these with no luck but in this one proof set for 1968 I found the DDO Lincoln, a DDO & DDR half dollar and a DDO dime. I also think the Quarter may be an RPM. I am not sure what I was looking at before.
Is this worth getting certified and would ANACS certify all the coins in a proof set or do they need to be taken out of the proof set to be certified?
