I'm still learning the skills for what is strike related doubling and doubled dies. I was going through a stack of proof cents I bought when I was a kid and discovered what might be a 1962 DDO. Or - it could be MDD. The coin in question is the upper photo. There does appear to be extra thickness and possible separaton lines. In the photo, I did a comparison with another 1962 proof cent I have (lower). Is this a DDO - I just can't tell for sure? And if so, do you know any 'type' IDs for it?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the link.
Since posting this, I went to the CONECA website and I did see that there are a lot of different Doubled Dies in the 1962 Proof cents. I looked at this coin much more closely under a regular microscope and it does appear to be one of the DDOs. I saw some small notches/splits in LIBERTY & TRUST, and some stronger ones on the Date. It would be nice to know if this is one of the stronger or weaker versions, though. CONECA has no pictures.
And just because there are many different ones is not a negative thing as far as I'm concerned. Most proof cent doubled dies I've seen are pretty pricey - even on some minor ones. On this one, the doubling on the date is pretty bold - and to have it on a proof cent is pretty cool. It may only be a $20 DDO (I don't know)-- but that would just makes it affordable (a lot of bang for the buck). Plus, the 1962 proof sets are about as cheap as they come. I've picked up a couple of them at just over silver value before.
If anyone has any of the other types, please post some pics if you can.

I don't know much about pricing of the variety coins except for what I see here and watching some of the E-bay auctions. I just like the search and getting lucky enough to find some of them.
Don't discount the other coins in the in those 62 proof sets. Check the quarter closely also for doubling.
Nice find by the way.

There are a large number of doubled die obverses for proof 1962 issues. They are actually quite easy to find if you look around enough.
