Found my first 2006P DDO in pocket change today. Looks to be the 1DO-004. Could not find any die scratches and only one very small die chip directly to the west of the O of ONE on the reverse. Found that after taking these photos. It has notching in the N/W of IBERTY. There is a N/W shift of the date. Also no thickening of the features of Lincoln's ear or beard. I'm guessing that is is the 1DO-004. Any other designation that this might be????????
If it is this die it will be my first 004.

Looks real close to me. The only difference I can see is the left edge of the T in LIBERTY of the upright, has the notch at the top and a mark 1/2 way down the cross bar. The Y looks fatter, but it could just be the difference in size of the two images and yours might be a MDS die state and the EDS markers have flattened. If you find another one, I could use one.
Great Find!

I have found a lot of other DDO's for 2006 in OBW rolls but this was the first in change and the only one like it I've found so far. Yes if another like it falls into my pocket it's yours coop.
With this one showing up around here hopefully there are more.
Does appear to have a couple notches in the T but looking at it closely I think it's only one. My lighting is the worse. I'd hate for anyone to see how I attempt my photos. I finally did figure out how to get a little better shot of an entire coin with a little help from a few TV parts but with the exception of coins that are very shiny, I still have a problem there. Gotta do it the hard way without any cash for the good stuff. Laughing

Lighting can be a problem to get the one that works right for you, you need to experiment to get the desired results. When I take images in the morning the sunlight through the window can make unwanted light as well as in the night the light from a light source can be a problem. I just use a piece of thicker paper with tape across the edge of the upper part and make a curtain to block out unwanted light, which usually glares on the edges of the devices when the light is not diffused. But looks like your doing fine. I guess we all have to be like "Doc" on "Back To The Future" and use what we can fine to accomplish the task we want. You will always find your self changing things and think you got the right lighting, and then change again and again. Its just a constantly changing thing. You images look great. Only a few things I would change but I would go on to that here. At least you are getting images that show what you need to show and that is what is important.
