So is anybody ready to enter the scavenger hunt yet?
It looks like a pretty tough list of items. Good luck to everyone.

Art,
If you're talking about the scavenger hunt on coppercoins.com, it has been there for a long time. From what Chuck has said, I do not believe anyone has entered or sent him the items. THere is still a chance you can win it, but I would check with Chuck first to see if it's still running.

I looked over the list for the scavenger hunt and I have to say that I decided not to do it as of item#2. I only own 4 coin books total and I am not about to spend hours looking for a misspelled word. I also do not have access to much of the items listed other than the internet (ie the elongated animal cent) so not being able to pull pics for the net kept me out of it also. No offense to C.D. on the hunt but I don't think anyone can complete it unless they devote so much time to it that the prize wouldn't be worth it. Some of us do not live in a major city. I am sorry for feeling this way but I have to be honest.
Steve

I certainly understand your feelings on this Steve. One thing you may/may not know is that this hunt has been on coppercoins for a very long time. Many people probably felt the same way as you do, that some items were not obtainable....which is probably why he has had no takers yet. However, if there were not some items that were harder to find, or maybe a little far fetched, then it wouldn't be a true scavenger hunt. Since no one entered, you may have been a winner having submitted only one or two items. I think Chuck just wanted to have a little fun on the site. We all learn from our experiences, and I am sure Chuck has learned that this one may have been a little too difficult. Hang in there....more good things are coming to the site soon.

I submitted my answers a long time ago. I did spend some time on it, true, but I had fun.
One thing I remember not being able to find is the "three coins in a fountain" one. I got many/most of the rest though.

That's great Robert. I don't recall Chuck telling me about your submittal. I will have to ask him about that. I am glad you had fun though. That's the purpose of those things.

Chuck, one question... I found a miss spelled word in CoinWorld, but the problem is that I get the publication online, and I cant get you a pic of that, is there anything I can do to prove that I found the word?

For everyone who has made a concentrated effort to complete the scavenger hunt I will issue a 5% off discount coupon for the online store, which is very near completion (probably less than two weeks now). Please e-mail me for details.
For all who haven't yet begun or haven't given it much effort or time, please don't...it is a very old contest gone sour long ago and should have been removed before the summer began.
There is one individual to whom I will issue a $20 certificate for having the most correct answers first....Robert.
