Bob Have there been any 1973S Doubled Die Reverse coins been found? I know there are none listed here and only two proofs listed by another. Anyway I have some 1973S BU business strikes that I believe showes Doubleing of Lincoln's right leg and arm. (left side when facing him) I am unable to get decent photos of this so if you would like to photograph it I would be happy to send it. ~lucky2

Robert,
I am not aware of any 73S business strikes with doubled die reverses. However, your description of the doubling does have some merit. I have found a 1970 P, and Chuck has found I believe a 1972, that have doubling on Lincoln's Statue. This could be class 4 doubling. The reason these are not listed is that they are pretty minor, and a bear to photograph.
If you have nothing else to do with 39 cents, send it to me and I will see if I can't verify it's a doubled die.

Mine was a 1970S large date, but I tossed it back in the tube long ago. The doubling was too minor to be certain it was even a doubled die. Could have been abrasion or polishing.

Speaking of doubled dies, I have this one with a 1970-S small date. Unfortunetly, it is a weak strike, especially on LIBERTY and the only clear indication of the doubling is on TRUST.

At least we know that there is one die of this type out there.
