Anyone hear of this one. I may have had this one posted here before as a DDR question. Got to looking at it a little closer tonight and noticed the notching on the Obv.

Found it, I did post another coin as a DDR Question and Chuck replied that it was a "class 2, distorted hub doubled die."
However I did not notice that, that one has the notching on the motto until tonight when looking a little closer at both coins and then notice the separation on the one photoed above after posting it.
I checked both coins and they have the same markers.
I think I confused myself but this stuff is fun

I personally was not aware this one existed. Somewhere - SOMEWHERE - around here I have a 1955P cent that's a doubled die reverse, but I'd be lucky at this point to find it again. I bought it five years ago at a local show and haven't seen it since I got it home. It could be the DDO/DDR you have, I never checked the obverse closely enough to see the notching.

It was after midnight and I was pretty tired while looking at these and posting and I may be seeing things but this morning, looking at the photos I posted, even the 55 in the first photo looks to have notching on the S/E corners of the horizontal bars.

You are correct that the first appears to ave it. Can't say the same for the second, it's a little out of focus and a little late in die state...but at any rate, I was convinced with the motto - it's a doubled die for sure.
