Talk about a weird day already. Coming back from Church this morning, we actually had an 'event' up here in this part of Florida. We actually had enough sleet that it accumulated in all the valleys of the roofs. Here is is, two hours later, and the sleet is still there. We didn't have that stuff all winter, yet we did have it on the 8th of April! Current temp...37. Brrrrrrrr! I'm sure it's no big deal for some of you folks, but I'm supposed to be in Florida!
Off to the big Easter Egg hunt! I'm sure I can beat them little kids this year

That is weird. We had snow showers the other day. No big deal for here.
Out of the 14 years that I lived in Florida I only saw snow or sleet a couple times. If I was a FL weather man, yeah I'd describe it as "weird".

I got up this morning to snow. No big deal because I live in upstate NY, but it was "almost" spring last week. I want it to stay spring.
Hey Bob.. did you beat the kids this year? I know I didn't, so I hope you had better luck.

Mary...
Those little kids CHEAT! I got only one egg this year, and that's cause I beat up a 2 year old girl for it
Actually Mary, the Easter Egg hunt was a tremndous success this year. We had 124 kids, aged 8 months to 3 years old searching for over 600 eggs. Even with the cold weather, it was a great time by all. I really love doing this every year. It makes one feel young(er).

Coop, I'll bet you don't remember a very bad outlaw by the name of "Juaquin Murrietta"? That's who I always was, when we played "outlaws, and indians".

Was that before or after the Civil War?

Hey if your memory goes back to the civil war...
Does anyone remember the best episode of "My Three Sons"?
Ernie was collecting wheat cents and he found a 1914-D and was going crazy telling everyone he found it and how it was worth $37.50 but then a newspaper boy came to collect and by accident they gave him the 1914-D. It was funny!!!!

Looks like everybody's been on since I left to go eat and clean up dinner.
I'm glad to hear the hunt went well, Bob. But.. uhmmm.. had to beat up a 2 yr old to get an egg? Next year, try a 1 yr old. I hear they're a little easier.
Can't say I remember the Civil War - 'cept for reading about it. As for My Three Sons? Was that around the same time as Leave it to Beaver? Mr. Ed? Perry Mason? The Honeymooners? Nope, I don't remember any of them since I'm only 29ish. Just ask my grandchildren. They'll tell ya.
Have a great evening, guys. I'm off to get the kids toweled and into their jammies. Can't wait till the day is over - for them.

Don't know how this thread ended up with the Civil War, when it started with Sleet in Florida It's amazing how you guys do that!
Anyway, the sleet recorded here yesterday was a record. Before yesterday, the latest day we had recorded frozen precipitation of any sort (going back 110 years) was March 13th. Day after tomorrow...they expect temperatures to be more seasonable 80-85 or so.
