Like Chuck said, I now realize the visual differences between LD and SD are quite distinct, but many of us will never find a SD unattributed for comparison. That said, the first SD I found in a pile of cents I knew right away.
Make's me wonder how many of the proof small dates are out there.
The proofs are much tougher than the uncs.
I haven't seen enough of the proofs to have a really good estimate but it's probably in the 3% of production area. or about 100,000 produced and much lower attrition than the unc.
The biggest determinant for price is demand. _________________ Tempus fugit.
