I agree its not hub doubling. I dont have Rick Snow's reference for the 1880's. I do have another reference book on doubled dies on Indian Cents and two cent pieces. I cant recall the author at the moment. I will retrieve it later. No 1884 is listed in that book.

I like the photo of the 1887 DDO here too! Nice example, Kurt!

Thanks everyone. There isn't any other separation besides the E, which is probably gunk on the surface making it look like a separation, like BJ said. Oh well. Thanks again.
