Having Chuck's book as a reference guide is great and sometimes creates a challenge. I try to find some of the coins pictured in the book. On page 84 there is a picture of a 1935P cent. I found one that looked similar in the date but does not have the doubling on TRUST. It also appears to have some doubling on the eye lid.
Definitely strike/mechanical doubling on this coin. You will find a lot of it in coins of the late 30's. Nice pics though. Made it very easy to diagnose the coin. _________________ Bob Piazza
