Welcome aboard Rick! I'm not sure what you asking on the 1945 Date? Looks like the 5 is a worn die like the poor man's 1955 DD. There is an intersting mark inside the upper loop of the 9. Not sure what that is? Great to see your first post and included an image. Took me several hundred posts to figure the image thing out how to do that. You got it on the first try. I could show the tag line. The only images I have for Mercury dimes is a couple of RPMs One listed one unlisted.
1944S-10MM-001

I have one doubled die merc, but not on the image host right now.

Thanks for the welcome !!

I purposely did not do more of an explaination, since I was told that I was planting images in peoples minds ,,LOL,, but my question is about the five and the image which to me appears to be underneath it ,, I say underneath due to the opposing loop within the loop of the five,,

Thanks for your comments, and the great pics !!

Rick

Hi Rick,

Welcome aboard.
