Earwig Go to the "New Finds" section here in the forum and look at some comments made Feb 20th. You may find some Pictures that Coop and I posted about 1974S.

The damaged punch thing is the opinion of CONECA, and in my estimation is an incorrect opinion. What I have seen them call damaged punches are undoubtedly RPMs.

I have a few that appear to be that same rpm and 1 other when i get the whole takin pics through the new microscope instead of the lil Intel computer microscope goin ill get a couple pictures up. But in my opinion they are def rpm's and deserve reference. Esp a year that has no listed rpm,s. Cant wait till attributions are open again
Eric
Not to mention that CONECA refuses to attribute many coins that are signifacant rpms and double die's thats why i quit there org. I have a 49 d Dime thats noticable under very viewable under 7x and they wont list it hmmmm a year there is on 1 rpm listed for dimes. Not to mention we should be keepin track of all varieties thats what this hobby is about. Sure the big DD and big rpms are great and exciting finds and worth more but interest makes the little 1 good finds too. Sorry bout venting off subject.

Go ahead and vent Eric. We have heard that same complaint from many people. I think most of us are cast-offs from CONECA who were looking for good, reliable and current stuff. This place fits the bill...don't you think.
A few things to keep in the back of your mind though. Sometimes, minor RPMs and doubled dies are just too difficult to attribute, and photograph. We have a limit here on what we will list also. In cases where there are little or no varieties for that year, we will make every attempt to list it, but even then it may not be possible. Our biggest selling point here is that you can try and attribute it yourself by going on line. With CONECA and others, you may never be able to attribute anything based on the vague info they provide, and almost complete lack of marker information. Right now, we have over 8000 pictures of almost 1700 varieties. And that's just Lincoln Cents. Nobody can come close to that.
That brings me to another point. In the months and years ahead, we will expand what we do here to include all U.S. coin denominations. We own the name US Coin Varieties, and when we can get experts of those denominations to jump on board, and do what we do here at coppercoins, we will be expanding greatly. Lots of stuff still to come in the future, including adding a couple hundred more varieties to this place. Stay tuned...and vent often or you'll get a tumor: lol:

Thanks Bob but if you saw the rpm that i was talking of you would understand. I was once told if it can be seen through a 7x loupe with not to much prob it qualified for atrribution. This shows through a magnifing glass i bet. But anyway cant wait till site expands and has really helped me attribute alot of stuff i thought would be in tubes or 2x2 forever
