BJ traded me some doubled dies for one of my 2006 DDO cents this week. Among his coins was a 2004P-1DR-002. (Thanks BJ)
Well tonight I was looking through circulated rolls and I found a 2004P-1DR-002. Now I have 2 of them. When it rains it pours.
But it's a great feeling to find a nice doubled die from a circulated roll. I have not found this type of DO or DR which involves doubled lettering before from circulated rolls.
The very next 2004P coin I looked at was weird. It had the notching in the SW corner of TY in LIBERTY just like the notching in 1DO-001! I quickly turned it over to see if I could see 1DR-001 that it's coupled with and mine doesn't have that, it has a Bar DDR instead, lol. (sob)
But that tells me something. I imagine that the coins found in these rolls came from this area, because these were some that customers had rolled up and brought in to the bank. And since I found a 1DR-002 and this other oddball here, then there might be the 1DR-001 around here too. I'll keep my eyes peeled for more of these.

It is really sad that you are having such bad luck in your searching this year Murph. Maybe things will get better as the year continues on Laughing
Really though...it never gets old hearing about peoples successes. Keep it up! Your good luck whether from new or circ rolls just goes to show folks that this stuff is still out there and all it takes is patience, a keen eye, and time. Congrats Exclamation

Sharing keeps others looking. After going through 60 rolls of Cents and find 6 Wavy Steps, you can get discouraged, but the end result makes it worth it. So far in 60 rolls I did find 4 dimes. So I guess it isn't all bad. But keep sharing everyone, it just makes all working harder.
Last week My wife and I visited Tucson and meet with Gary Cox and his wife for lunch. Great guy to meet. But we did some shopping and I always tell my wife to save the Cents for me even if it requires breaking a dollar. And this advise has paid off. She received in here change a 2006-D Bar Cent that Gary had found and sent one to me. So I told him to start searching the circulated Cents as the Bar Cents are out there. He told me so far he had found 4. So lets see what happens with time. Tucson seem to be getting all the great finds.... Rolling Eyes

Haha, yeah Tucson got those nice Wisconsin D quarters back in 2004.

I goofed in my post above and said that BJ had traded me a 2006 cent but it was a 2004P-1DR-002. It's been edited now. I got confused since I had found a 2006P-1DO-002 in these rolls I am looking through. It's the first one of them that I have found in circulation.
