Hi All
I have a 1968 & A 1984 WHERE THE FG ON THE REVERSE IS SITTING NEXT TO, AND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FAR END RIGHT STEP. On my other 1968 & 84's it is off the step and in the normal position what would cause this ,or is it a variety? _________________ MAY THE COURSE BE WITH YOU, AND KEEP IT IN THE SHORT GRASS
Bruce: The reverses are different from year to year sometimes. If you have a 1973, check out the designer initials on this date. The best rule of thumb is this: If you think you have found something different on a coin, compare it with others you have of the same year. I've thought I've found something several times, but the just design changes. On different years you see different sizes of letters/numbers and sometimes like 1960/1974/1970 there are large and small dates. So this will alter the appearance. But they are only collectable as a variety IF they rest of the coins that year were NOT made that way. IE the Wisconsin Quarter. There were a few different variations of that die that made it collectable as the rest were different. So I hope I've answered your question. _________________ Richard S. Cooper
