I came across this 1999 Lincoln cent that shows an abnormal angle of offset from the norn.

There has been some debate whether large angles like this offset are possible. As you can see by the above picture, it appears that there is an extra set of knees and two extra columns to the left of column # 7.

[/img]

The knees, shown with red arrows, appear to have a northeast tilt (or southwest) of approximately 30 to 35 degrees off the horizontal plane. The extra columns, indicated by the green arrows, seem to have the same offset angle as the knees do and form a 90 degree angle at the intersect junction.

It would seem, or at least to me, that the operate of the hubbing press would notice such a large offset, but then again, who knows what goes on in the Mints. And then there is this last example of a 2006 Lincoln cent, but then again, we have seen this problem before Rolling Eyes

You all have a good one.

Looks like to me the extra knees are hands and two sets near column # 7. The base at the floor on the left side next to # 6 looks like it is at a different level than the rest of the base at the floor?

I agree that this could be quite compelling. I will wait for Chucks opinion on this one to see if he has any input. I am seeing weirder and weirder stuff on these coins every day. The plot thickens....

Bob: You think that is weird? I'm looking so closely at coins and one is looking back at me.

This not a retouched image, this is the way the coin actually looks. I turned the coin and it is only visible from the angle in the image. Looks like Abe is mad. You can see two eyes, a nose and a big frown with the mouth. Kind of scarry. This is on a 2006-P Cent. I just found this one in a circulated roll. I marked it so I could sell it on ebay. Kind of scarry looking.

Now that's weird! Nice find Coop. Hope you sell it on eBay and are then able to buy a new Caddy with the proceeds.

I kind of felt for a moment I was in the "Twilight Zone." At least it didn't talk, that would have really scared the crap out of me! Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

Had to look a while to find this thread. But I think I can add another die gouge looking marks to the center bay.

The wrong angle to be a bar Cent. So it must be gouges. Funny thing is that NONE of the other bays show the same die scratches/gouges. This one is a 2000-D Cent.
