I just found a nice MS 65 1936P cent with a Doubled die obverse extra eyelid. I already have a 1939S extra eyelid BU cent. I think I heard that a 1937 cent extra eyelid was the earliest known of this type. Any know for sure?

If you look on the site, you will find a 1927D with a doubled eyelid and a 1928P cent with a tripled eyelid. As far as I know, those are the earliest known. Of course, that doesn't mean there is not a still undiscovered doubled eyelid out there.

drwstr123....
If there is a 1925 doubled eyelid that was attributed here, it certainly is not on the site. Do you have any more info on this? If it was attributed, it should have a coppercoins number assigned to it, and I have no records of that here. I would hate to of lost any info on a coin we attributed.

I have Charles' letter in front of me. "1925P-1DO-001". and, "a newly discovered doubled die."
It was sent in as 1925, PCGS AU58. Machine doubling of "LIBERTY" and "1925". Mike

True, there is a 1925 doubled eyelid that I haven't yet put on the site. It did, however, make it into the first packet of the attribution guide last year. I still need to dig out the photos and stick them on the site. Yet another place where I have definitely fallen way behind.

I am glad the pics and info are still safe and sound. I get concerned that at times I may attribute something and not put it on the site. Now that I know where it all is, I can rest easy. Thanks guys!

How about the possibility of the poor looking 1924P.

That 1924 may or may not cut it. I canot see well enough from the images provided. It looks like it might be one.
