Run coppercoins, run!
Announcing that I, the 17 year seditary lump on a log who built this site and smokes a half pack a day ran a mile and a half today for the first time since 1992.
Just for kicks I also went back to my old days of high school sports and ran a timed 100M. Ahemm....in 13.6 seconds. Okay, so it's four seconds off of record time, but you gotta remember who I am. 37, smoker, overweight, and just beginning to exercise for a change. I didn't figure I could even sprint that distance...but I actually did it without a heck of a lot of effort. If I hadn't just ran 1.5 miles my 13.6 100M might have had a second shaved off it.
I'll try it again next week without the distance running ahead of it, and will report my time. This stuff's fun! It also blows stress and frustration right out the door!

It sure was a nice day for it here in Missouri today. I alway figure the point in movement such as running was to get from point A to point B but when running track I never seemed to get to point B just back to point A so I gave it up.

Congrats Chuck! Nothing bad can ever come from taking the very important step of self improvement...either phsically or mentally. Keep us informed of your progress as time goes on.
