Found this today and noticed that the doubling is similar to the 1944P 1DO-001 of the RTY on LIBERTY except the shift is in the opposite direction. I could not find any other indications of doubling any where else on this cent.
Maybe a new variety

Looks like it could very well be a new variety Steven. It definitely looks like a doubled die though, and as you said, the likeness to DDO#001 is similar with the exception of the direction of the spread. _________________ Bob Piazza

The eyes are getting a little tired though. I gotta learn to put this searching down every now and then. To many hours a day with it. But the variety collection is coming along.
