Man, cant believe hurricane season just started again. My roof is no where complete, there is a hole in the roof of my room where water gets in, and we havent finished installing the hurricane shutters for this season.
What will this season be like...?

Hey Gabe - Maybe we will be fortunate this year and all the named storms will be nothing more than tropical storms with a little wind to just stir things up a bit. If not, then hopes that they all stay out to sea and become fish canes.
But saying that, I know better. I wish you, Bob, Smed, Jack, Radar and any one else who lives on the gulf coast, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, who are attached to this site, the best of luck this season. May we all pull through it unscathed.

Amen to that. We could all use a break for a season or two. I am ready for the season, but would prefer to be ready and not have to go through it all again. Gulf of Mexico water temps are already 85 degrees here. Not a good sign should anything develop. Threshold for hurricanes is about 80-82 degrees. Maybe if I throw in a few ice cubes...it'll help??

We are ready over here, but it rather not go through another hurricane. I have a bad feeling about this season, and think that Florida unfortunately will be in the path of a couple of storms.
