As is my habit, I scan the error coin section of E-bay daily, just to keep abreast of current trends in what is being offered, sold and for what price.
Two auctions caught my eye this morning, both for the same type error, one over $700.00 and the other approaching $1100.00. I could see if this was some sort of multiple strike, or unique die cap or fold over strike - - - you get the drift, but for a DIE SCRATCH? Come on now!!!!!
The error - - - - The great "Speared Buffalo". even though this error is not common, I doubt that it would make the catagorey of "very scarce " and is more than likely "scarce", such prices for a die scratch seem to me to be outragous!!!!
Of course, this is just my opinion.
