Just to keep all who are interested, informed; the second inverted mintmark, a 1946-S with ball serif mintmark, has been found and attrbuted.
Dr. James Wiles, noted variety and die expert attributed the coin and had this to say about it. " I believe this is an inverted mintmark, but with the circulation wear, it is difficult to say with 100% surity." He further states: "I will say this is an IMM (inverted mintmark designation), but not give it a listing number at this time."
I fully agree with his assesssment, for there is a smidgen of doubt for the coin is not in the best of shape. However, I do have enough confidence that this is an inverted mintmark to make you all aware of its existance.
The following picture is of this coin and when compared to the picture after that, which is of the first found, you can see that the mintmarks are in a different position, indicating a different die.
DIE # 2
DIE # 1
On top of all this, there may be another 1946-S with ball serif, that also has an inverted mintmark. If you suspect that you do have an inverted mintmark, please contact me so that we may assess if it is or isn't. Thank you.

Even with the little bit of doubt, it sure seems like a no-brainer to me BJ. Definitely a mintmark that spent too much time at the local tavern
