Good morning!

Please see the attached pics of a 1964-D Lincoln of which I've found several in a mint bag. At first glance, it appears to clearly be RPM 10. However, I was unable to match any of the MDS markers per this site. Also, the description indicates a lower "curve" inside the primary mintmark, whereas mine looks more like a straight line. Seems too strong to be just a heavy die scratch. Perhaps this is an LDS RPM 10, where the Obverse markers have worn away over time (also given the fact that perhaps my coin's reverse is reflective of further progression of the lighter MDS column die breaks referenced on this site)??

Thanks

The location looks wrong for # 10. The seperation is different and there is an interesting mark above the MM under the 9. Most of the die scratches flow in a NE/SW direction, but the mark under the 9 looks vertical. So it may be a D/D/D North and North. Possibly a new listing as I see no matches on the site. Strange angle for the inside RPM. But Bob will probably want to see this one.

Good catch, Coop! I did not see that vertical bar to right side of lower part of the 9.

Here are some pics which provide much better detail of the flow and area around there which may shed additional light. I will definitely plan to send to Bob, per your suggestion.

See what you think here:

I still can't quite tell Jim. Go ahead and put one in an envelope and send it to me and I'll see if it's a new variety or not.

Looks like it's probably a die gouge, but there's at least some slim chance it's an RPM.
