I have 2 rolls of those things......

Also I dont know if you noticed on the back there was an over strike or something very light... when I was looking at the roll I notice that is moves across the coins.. its kind of cool. I took pictures of them all and I am making a slide show so you can actually watch it slide over the coin.

Gary, I was thinking abraiding marks, but Cathy's comment that it seemed to move across the coins, made me change my opinion. I am in the dark, same as you. We will have to wait until the "slide show begins"

I don't see what we're identifying here. Is it an RPM? I don't see doubling in the one photo that shows the mintmark. How about showing the doubling on the mintmark - that's the only way to identify the die variety. Markers are second to that.

Your "overstrike" is probably just some sort of viscous material, like an oil or grease, that is sliding around a bit on the die between strikes. It could also be a very thin piece of something that is being struck through and is moving around on the die between strikes. Either way, it cannot be used as a marker (just for education sake) because it is not permanently attached to the die in such a manner as to ascertain that it stayed with the die throughout the rest of its use.

As for the identification of the die itself, I would have to first see the most important part to identify it - the mintmark.
