Bob, or Coop, did they retool the bays on the '04's? They all seem to be extraordinarily clean. There is no hint of a bar, and nearly every rev has a "knee" down by the right foot, and a right upper-cut to the "kisser"! Some are very notable, where oters are jus so-so. In fact there is one, (knee-foof), that is identical to each other. While in this same area, I have noted a few that looked like they were given the "dameo treatment". The surface is very pitted, extremely small pits, and very shiny, almost a PL surface.

Dick: I don't know of any re-tooling of any year of Cents. The OM (Over mintmark) would probably be the only ones I could think of. The 2004 is just another year for thw single squeeze method as far as I know. There are a few nice DDR's for that year including doubling on the EPU. So that is all I know of them.

The only thing I found, so far was a very nice die crack, runnuing from the hair in the "cow-lick, down across the temple, to the eyebrow, and over to the nose., possibly ending on the field. I was only looking at the statue, so the rest is still a mystery. I rolled the coins, as I finished checking, but being in roll/date/MM, it will be easy to pull a, or some '2004 rolls and check the EPU, now that I have been "informed"! Thanks!
LATER: Coop, I have several ddr's for that year, (2004). I finally re-located them!

As far as I know, there has been no retooling of any recent cents. 2004 has many many nice DDRs and a few DDOs as well. I can't say I have seen as many that you seem to indicate here. Maybe you got them all Dick?

Bob, and Coop, I don't think I got all of them, because I see quite a bit showing, (without the D). They are too damn perfect in Denver to make us collectors happy! Mine are not very notable, and none are the same size. One on the left side, (our left), and three on the right side. There are more, but I don't know where THEY are.
I read your post re the difference between the cracks, breaks, and just plain old extruding thru the crack! Speaking of cracks, Coop, did you see the snake????
