This post concerns one of our members (Darrell) and the recent posts he has made communicating his displeasure with his life and the agony that the system has brought upon him. I am posting this thread in the public forum so that ALL can understand where Chuck and I as administrators of this forum are coming from concerning this matter.
Frankly, this has gotten out of hand. Darrell, we have attempted to help you the best we could, but all we seem to do is elicit more negative reactions from you. The purpose of this forum is not to dispense of medical advice. What we have done is from our hearts and the compassion shown has been overwhelming. However, the continuous negativity of these episodes has had a serious negative impact on our forum and its members. This can not, and will not be allowed to continue like it has.
Darrell has made it clear that he understands Chuck and I have the power to delete his membership at any time. I specifically mentioned I do not wish to do that. Technically, he has done nothing against forum rules.
For that reason, I am asking all members (including myself), to refrain from offering any more advice. Darell, I am asking you to try and control what you are putting here as it is upsetting some of our members. Should members wish to continue offering compassion and assistance to Darrell, I ask that you do it by person to person email, and not on the public forum.
We are here to talk about coins, and I wish to get us back to doing that.
Darrell...If you are offended by anything said here, you have the power yourself to cancel your membership.
I can not and will not control what our members say unless if conflicts with our rules. Should things continue concerning this subject, Chuck and I will remove the offending posts. We need to get back to what the forum was put here for. Our members are what makes this forum what it is, and we will continue to try and ensure it stays that way. Lets keep the posts coin related folks.
Should you have any specific requests or statements, and do not want to post them here, please feel free to email me at bobp@coppercoins.com, and I will answer your questions individually.
Please understand that this thread has become necessary, and it is difficult at best to write. My goal is pretty specific. I am not prohibiting anyone from continuing to assist Darrell. I am only asking that you pick another avenue (such as email) to do it in.

I fully second what Bob has said, and support his post completely. The reason he wrote it (and not me, the owner) is because of his eloquence with words in dealing with people - one of his strongest traits that I lack in considerably. Furthermore, I have personal experience dealing with the things Darrell is dealing with to one degree or another, and it tends to hit home rather closely. I can't be of much help talking about someone else's problems when I am still working through similar problems. That's the main reason some of you may have noticed that I have remained very quiet in those threads...I simply don't handle it well. That's as far as I'll offer information in that area.
I want this to be a fun place for people - ALL people, including Darrell. I don't want ANYONE to become a reason why other people avoid reading posts and responding here.
As for all else, Bob has stated it very well, and there's no need for me to repeat what he has said.

My oppion on what Bob has said does have a lil merit to it true enough. But has I have said to Chuck in a few PM's. I would stop the post as I have been doing I dont want anyone feeling sorry for me. If I have offended anyone then I am sorry but if it is okay with Chuck and Bob I would like to have a vote. A vote of who wants Me to stay and who wants me to go. It is nothing oersonal but if the majority feels I am causing a problem and wants Me to leave then I would appreciate a private messege stating the fact. No matter how the vote turns out there will be no hard feelings. Yall and this site has helped Me out tremendoulsy and I do appreciate it. I am not looking for sympathy or a hand out. I do how ever think Bob and Chuck was a lil harsh in the post. but again that is My oppion.
I do request that My post does stay up and Bonb or Chuck does not delete it cause this is my reply and I think I deserve that much.

There will be no vote, nobody wants you to go unless you continue negatively affecting the forum. Just stop the negative posts, get back to the purpose of the forum and everyone will be fine. Exactly what I told you that you should do through PMs, and here you are doing the opposite. Just let it drop Darrell, and get back to posting stuff people come here to see.
This is not survivor and we aren't voting people off an island. This is MY forum and I said you could stay. That's good enough for me, it's good enough for everyone else here, and it should be good enough for you.
Two demerits for not paying attention. Now, you can make them up with coin posts. Now get busy!

Darrell- old quote, "...for nothing can be sole or whole that has not been rent." I've found a dictionary helpful to get the meaning of old words. Mike
