I posted much of this in another thread in the BST area, but by design, those posts are scheduled to delete themselves over time to make way for other sales. In that light, I am posting the same thread here again, with some additions.

--------------------------------------------------------

I want to extend my gratitude (belated) to BJ and the rest of you for this effort in raising funds for the site. It is always appreciated, and you guys are always on my mind.

The dreams and aspirations I have for this site have been punched down a few times by other things getting in the way - divorce, need for income, holidays, storms, and yes, sometimes just pure disinterest or laziness. I assure you that I do intend on continuing my effort to make this site something far better than what it is today, and I am very thankful to have a community - a family - of support out there to keep it going. I say this in the most sincere way possible, if it hadn't been for you guys this site wouldn't exist today.

My special thanks to BJ for taking it upon himself to suggest and carry out such a sale - I didn't ask for it, I didn't suggest it, heck I didn't even know it was happening until it was going on. I do appreciate all the purchasers as well, rest assured the funds will go to very good use.

I also want to take time out here to go back to the subject of the dreams and aspirations of this site, and thank Bob Piazza for his selfless and un-ending dedication to this project. I have not only made a good partner in working on this site, but have met my closest personal friend. Through good times and bad he has always stuck by my side - he has pulled me out of bad times, helped me through a lot, and for that I want to thank him in front of all you guys.

Thanks Bob...you're still a great Shirt and you show it with your compassion toward others even when you're down. And hey...even though your eyes are too close together I still love ya brother.

Thanks again - everyone. I need to go blow my nose now.

Thanks Chuck. I appreciate the kind words. Things will get better for you...they always do if you don't let them beat you too far down. The saying goes that you can be down...but not out, and I think that's appropriate here. This great group of people on this forum is what keeps me going too. Thanks from me too to all of you who were part of the coin sale. I hope those of you who bought got something nice, and what you needed. Thanks BJ for putting it together.

By the way...My eyes are not too close together. Maybe you have an extra wide head???? Laughing

Thank you both for your kind words. My actions are out of appreciation for this fine site and the firm hopes that it does continue to bring educational befenfits to all that are in this family.

As far as the actual sale goes, I am a bit disappointed that more coins were not sold. I am sure that these coins that are left are way below book price, so not only are you getting a bargin, but you are also helping the site.

Coop has suggested that we leave the unsold coins on the forum in hopes that more will go and to that end, I have agreed with him. Please remember, this is an important educational site that for now is free to all of you to use. Your contributions will help keep it that way.

Also, I am open to other suggestions, such as closed bids on lots or anything else that comes to mind to benifit the Coppercoins site.

I do wish to thank you all again; to those who bought coins, to those who donated coins and to those who will buy coins.

You all have a good one

BJ Neff
