Hello again. this is a coin that i have been looking at for a few days now. i have seen this before but no idea where. any one have any ideas?

Maybe the plating lifting or a gouge there????

thats what it looks like lol. i have seen a few of these but i didnt hold or mark any for the info so it must have been a non coin lol

Very difficult to say how that was caused. I have 1 or 2 of them as well. My guess would be maybe a die gouge or tooling mark since there is evidence of the proper roof line behind the slanted bar.

Don't look now, but there is a shadow under the left end if th"thing" in the upper area. Looks very much like a tip of a toothpick.

Hey - I got one of those also. Actually that is the correct aligment and the rest of the coin is tilted.

Dang Chuck you spoiled it for me. lol i was going to put it on ebay at $9.99 start and see how far it would go. lol
but that's ok it will still get me a stick of gum if i add another 4-5 with it lol
thanks everybody i was positive it was only a cent but had to make sure it wasn't one of them ebay special million dollar coins lol
