When everyone here on the Forum look's for Varietie's, What do you like to look for? Why do you like to look for this certain date? Do you like to look for varietie's and MM in Wheatie's? Do you like to look thru Wheat Cent's or Memorial cent's? Is there a difference?
The reason I ask is this is a very interesting Hobby for Me. I just wanted to get your perspective on what stir's your interest.

I like modern doubled dies - the stronger the better. When I get on the trail of a good variety, like the 2006P-1DO-017, I chase it until the trail becomes cold.
Circulated pennies are easy enough to find here and I find some very cool coins in them. I have a choice of searching local rolls of circs, Fed wrapped circs and new Fed wrapped rolls. I search them all, but some more than the others when a new variety is turned loose onto society. It's my job as a Deputy Sheriff of Doubled Die Land to lock all doubled dies up in protective custody so they won't do themselves any harm and not deteriorate. I have a 10 Most Wanted List:
1. 1999P-1DR-003 Public Enemy #1 The Holy Grail of Wavysteps
2. 1999P - Wide AM Type-2
3. 2001P-1DO-001
4. 2001P-1DR-002 Another Monster Wavystep
5. 2002D-1DR-001
6. 2003D-1DR-001
7. 2004D-1DR-001
8. 2004P-1DO-001/1DR-001
9. 2006P-1DO-017
10. 2006P-1DO-018
If you see any of these desperados you become automatically deputized to take them into custody immediately! I should tell you that there is a bounty on every one of these characters. They are going to be in hiding so look carefully and good luck!

In the mid 70s I started looking for wheaties and saved unc rolls of memorials.
It wasn't until the mid 80s that I realized there are a lot of neat DDOs and RPMs.
Now I look for the old varieties if there's any to look through but also look for the modern ones. Modern ones are good because it's easy to get a lot of them to look through and they're free since you can spend them.

Murphy, Where is the best place to find Federal Wrapped Bank Roll's? What is the difference compared to a OBW?

Hi David, OBW and Fed-wrapped rolls are the same. You get them at banks. They come in two types - new and used or circulated.
Fed Wrapped is just the banks terminology for OBW's or Original Bank Wrapped rolls. The banks don't roll coins, so "OBW" would be politically incorrect. The banks order rolls of coins from the Armored Car companies. And since the armored car companies get their coins from the Federal Reserve Bank, they mistakenly think the Fed Bank rolls them up before going to the armored car company. Thus banks call them "Fed Wrapped" rolls.
Actually the armored car companies pick up and deliver bags of coins at the Federal Reserve Banks. Then, the armored car companies roll the coins up before delivery to regular banks. However, rolls of the Presidential Dollars may come pre-wrapped by either the Mint or the Fed. And I'm not sure about Statehood Quarters. They come in different boxes than pennies do.

Dick, are you sure you want a Democrat for President?
Darrel, Look at each variety as it is listed here at Coppercoins.com and you will see a table showing what the bounty is, lol.

NOT NO, BUT HELL NO! There isn't a worthy candidate in the house! I domn't care for the other bank of the river, either, altho I would believe "Rudy" would do a good job, based on how he handled the 9-11 situation. Take into consideration, the fact that he was working on a Municipal level, and trying to get the FED involved,,but unfortunately, with the Democrats running aroung with their head up "where the sun don't shine", and stabbing the Republicans in the back, so they couldn't function, either, things stayed pretty well out of hand. Until there is a limit on how many terms one can serve in congress, we will have this "gridlock". There are a few that should be forced to resign, because of the way they "control" congress, on both sides of the aisle! We are BADLY in need of "new blood" there, lots of it! IMHO!

I agree with Dick. I'm not so sure that a Democrat would help the economy.
Then again this isn't a Political Board so I don't voice my opinion's as it is for Coppercoin's . com.

Oh, you don't think I'd be a good President because I am a Democrat? Well, I've found a lot more wavysteps than George W. has! And as for Doubled Dies - he'd mispronounce them, "Dubble Dies".

Murphy, as far as the current president's speach impediment is concerned....he's from a larger state than I am. A Democrat or Republican is fine with me. It's those Libertarian's you have to watch out for which I am nether
