Wow Steven, I don't know if I ever saw one with a bar on each side before. Cool!

There are a few out there with bars on both columns. I like this one though. I would add it to the site.

Looks very similar (if not the same) as one I recently found in circulated rolls. I sent it to Crawford and Wexler for attribution. Given the similar appearance and the relatively few DDRs that have shown up in 2002 cents, it probably is the same die.
If you get yours listed on this site, I'll check and see if any die markers match.

Ken, I found two of these and looked them over a bit and tryed to get photos of some of the markers. I can see that there are these three chips surrounding the date and the forehead crack that is very common in a lot of the newer cents. I think the chips are the best markers but I can't get them very clear. The location should help though.
Sorry about the photo quality
This one is of the reverse showing the same scratches to the left of the memorial.

| Ken - did you take that image? |
Yes. I just got a new digital camera and it has a really nice macro mode. That cropped photo was taken with a Canon Powershot A640, a mini-tripod and a halogen desk lamp. No extra lenses required. Not bad for a 'point-and-shoot' camera that cost less than $300.

Good job on identifying those markers. I'm not very good at that yet. I don't see the forehead die crack on mine, but I do spot a similar dot around the 2002 and similar scratches on the reverse above ONE. It looks like the same doubled die.
