Got this 64 proof, looks like 1DR-003P but might not be.
It has sharp notching on many letters and doubling in the corner of the memorial and FG.
Got this guy in an ANACs holder attributed as Coneca Die-3 for a whopping $9 Wink
I'm thinking it looks like the 1DR-003P on the site, it does have something in between the N-G on the obverse (like the dot marker on site) but on this coin it almost looks like something that would fall off so I'm not convinced by it. Also the C of America looks to have more doubling on top and less on the bottom than the one on the site. This one's better in hand than pictures show because the notching is very sharp but so fine my pics through the holder don't show it.

Think they're the same die? Confused

Ed: Looks similar. I note that the EDS scratches are missing. The images doesn't show the same longer scratches. Check the images on the site for the little black arrows for thses light markers. Yours could be from a later die state. But when you focus, do you focus on the fields or the top edges of the devices? If you focus on the top edges of the devices, the fild under neather can be out of focus. Do try this: Focus on the field below the devices (Numers/letters/designes). This will keep the detail stronger on the devices. If you are usuing a dual barrel on your scope, close one eye to make the sharpness crisper and shoot the image through that barrell. See if this helps. Also try rotating the coin under the scope to show details a little better. After you take the image, turn the image back the correct direction to show what we are looking for. This helps the mind to check for the correct perspective. Looking forward to the next images with these adjustments.

Hi Coop,

I'm only using a loupe, the only adjustments are blurry and blurryer Laughing

Don't see any of the longer markers. The only marker I see is a dot between N-G on the obv. The one on the site has an arrow to a dot but it's slightly lower but in the site photo it also looks like the bigger dot above that one like the dot I see in this pic seems to be there.

I would think this coin is EDS? just because it's a cameo obv but maybe they re-prep the dies... Maybe you would know if all cameos are EDS or do they re-prep them as they use them? Confused

Even if that marker matches we couldn't say it proves the listed 1DR-003 is Conaca DDR Die-3 because it's possible that ANACs was not correct with their attribution.
