I'm guessing this is a modern copy of a Roman coin or a modern fantasy coin. It had glue or something on the reverse so I thought it might have been glued to an advertisement or something like that.

Can anyone tell what it is, modern fantasy or advertisement or copy?

Smile

I have many specimens of ancient Roman, Celtic and Bizantine coins. In my opinion, the pics of the coin you have looks as though this may be a copy. Very often, most of the original coins struck were off center, and although some good to excellent specimens exist, I do not think that is the case with this one. I believe it to ba a copy.

Hi Cathy,

Yes that's exactly what I thought. I found it in a box of junk from the 80s and it still had a glob of glue on the rev like it was glued to something sent out.

Do you know what they were advertizing?

Religion--- coins of (Jesus, I think) ... or something like that....
There was 5 in the set each stuck to a card board with facts about the time and location and what Jesus had to do with it all.
