Just starting out collecting/hunting, its obvious I need to also start my library.! So,since Im mostly hunting circulated coins,(Lincolns,Dimes,Quarters) I was thinking a copy Charlies book on Lincoln cents & a copy of the Cherrypickers guide would be the most logical choices to start with.. Watcha think?
Thanks,CP.

That would be a good start.
One thing to do is on both books try getting the latest book. CD has 2 books and so does the CPG.
The CPG changed their numbering of varieties and the later version tells the new numbering scheme. It helps to have the new numbers since the grading companies are putting those on the holders.
John Wexler also has some good books.

Red Book. Just remember it is very basic and loaded with errors and redicuous prices. I would suggest getting both books on Looking Through Lincolns though. Not sure about where you live but I've got one in the basement and one in my computer room so when I need to look up something, I don't have to go running around. I do the same with the Red Book. I don't bother with other books since they have this thing called the internet. Anything to make life easier for us old people.
