Welcome aboard Smile

Think it was it struck through a capped die?

Yes, it's a counterbrockage. It was struck by an obverse die cap that had a brockage of the obverse design on the reverse face.

So a full, centered counterbrockage is a type of capped die strike. Other types of counterbrockages can be produced by a single strike involving a brockaged coin that ends up in the striking chamber.

Hi and welcome to the forum - Just one question. If you were sure that it was a counterbrockage, why is it listed as a grease filled die strike, something entirely different?

Chameleon.. If I'm correct a counterbrockage is worth much more than a grease filled die. If I was you, I would end the auction, and start a new one with the correct title...

This is NOT the place to be selling items. If you have it on eBay, people will find it there. If you want to sell it here, take it off eBay and post it in the Buy, Sell, Trade forum. Posting eBay auctions in this forum is against forum rules. Please do not do it again.

It doesn't matter -- a neg is a neg. 97.6% positive sucks positively. If I see less than 99% for someone with a feedback rating of more than 100, I don't even bother looking further.

Smed has a valid point on feedback. One should value there product's with honesty and a self esteem as there as good as the Seller's Dignity.

I personally don't sell my coin's on Ebay and list a Ebay posting here also.

As Chuck has mentioned it's against the rules. As a Administrator on other Forum's pertaining to Metal Detecting, I wouldn't allow this. These are my thought's and my thought's only.

Both "smed" and "Rhubarb" have hit the nail on the head and as a moderator on the CONECA forum, we also do not allow advertizing.

As for your auction on E-bay at the start of this post, it should have been pulled by you for being incorrect and then relisted using the correct nomenclature. We are all entilted to make mistakes, however, leaving them uncorrected is determental to this hobby and its collectors.
