I have continually seen different item's sold on Ebay that list's coppercoin's as a source of information to to die varieties. I also list coppercoins as a resource to comfirm my item's I have to sell. (carrolltoncoins)

This is a listing I ran across today. http://cgi.ebay.com/1960-D-D-RPM-100-SM-LG-DATE-1c-ANACS-MS62-BRN_W0QQitemZ230172456754QQihZ013QQcategoryZ524QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

ebay changed the rules about listing certified coins from private party TPG's or an attempt to get rid of SGS crap. something like that anyway but i dont think it has anything to do with listing variety numbers .
on the 60 over date. it dont look like the LD over SD to me. you can almost see the 9 and the mint mark on that coin should be touching the nine.

if it isn't pcgs, ngc, or anacs.. or even icg i consider it to be raw. none of those 3rd party slabs mean anything to me. i still buy them if the coin looks right, but that label means ZERO to me.

ebay doesn't need to parent me here.. i can make my own decisions. if you pay MS65 prices for a SGS MS65, then that's all part of learning along the way. what's next, only TPG slabbed coins will be allowed? i don't agree with this new policy.. if that's what is in fact going on.

and i think that's the legit 60/60 variety.. the 0 gives it away. better pics could've probably doubled his money is all i'm saying. (and by the way, that coin is anacs apparently.. it should be allowed)

I consider ALL coins I would buy as raw...I don't look at the label before figuring a grade and a price I would pay for the item, primarily because I really don't care what the label says in any case.
