I began searching my Lincolns for varieties last night. I have a Bausch and Lomb 5x-20x lense. Is this sufficient for searching varieties? If not, what do you suggest as the best.

Louis, Welcome to the forum!
the loupe you have will get most, with the minimun, (5X), and the rest will be a bit more difficult, at 20X. A scope is the best for the very hard to find varieties. That expense will come later as you become more effecirnt, and gain more experience. Again, welcome aboard!
Dick

For grading, I use a 10x loupe. For cherrypicking varieties, I use a 16x. Anything more than 16x ( in my opinion) is over kill.

Any die variety should be visible using a 10X loupe. Grading should be done with the naked eye, using a 5x loupe for finalizing.
