I bought a bag of world coins to kinda mess around with, and have found some pretty neat and older stuff including an 1855 French Napoleon III 10 centimes and an 1893 India 1/12 Anna. Of course I am always looking for varieties and such, and found this real nice die clash on a 1996 Brazil 10 Centavos coin. I know very little about some world coinage, but this clash is nice. The date is incused which is why the clash is raised so nicely. Any comments??

I found my second Brazilian 10 Centavos coin...it is a 1995 and guess what? It has almost the same type of clash as the one I listed above. For those of you who collect world coinage...is this the norm for these coins from Brazil??

Bob.. a couple of months ago I cherrypicked a Brazilian coin exactly like that one at a show. It had a nice doubled die, and the dieclash clearly showed the doubling on the other side of the coin. Wish I still had the picture of that coin, but I think I deleted the picture when I sold the coin...

Well, I ended up finding another dozen or so of these coins. Out of those, I found 3 more (all 1994) that had the same clash although not as strong as the ones pictured here. Based on the sampling, I would say they are rather common. Either way, they are pretty neat!
