I came across this 1989-P DDR. I couldn't find a similar coin on this website or the net. Could someone please classify the coin, the type of doubling (Class 1, 2,...) and how much it might be worth.
The images were shot through a 10x glass. I tried to capture as much as possible. There is doubling on ONE CENT, UNITED STATES and the left upper corner of the Lincoln Memorial.
I know the pictures are large, i'ts not my intention. HOW DO I MAKE THE PICTURES SMALLER or can I generate a link to PhotoBucket so they can be viewed there. What's the best way because I have other coins to post and I want to do it the right way.
Thanks in advance to all who reply.............

Looks like MD.
The best give away is the ST of STATES, the second image is metal from the original image so it's MD.
It does look neat on ONE CENT but it's also MD and no premium added to the value but I bet it makes you look twice
Good pics!

Louis,
MD is mechanical doubling which is what gives most people problems in the identification of doubled dies. This doubling occurs during the striking of the coin versus the hubbing process of the die where the 'true' doubled die are made. It takes a while, but stick with us, and we'll have you telling the difference in no time
