question - I have 2 1957 D that appear to be struck on blanks, no raised rim, and both appear to be in normal weight range, but both appear to be slightly smaller in diameter than a normal planchet struck penny. Is this normal or likely fake?

I'm thinking likely a cent that was filed down at the edges so it would fit into a parking meter as a dime...I have a dozen or so examples of such work, and often the rims are good enough to look more or less real.

My guess without seeing more.
