Nice finds there Mr. Chuck. Another example of no matter how long ago the coins were made, there is always a chance that there are numerous varieties no one has reported before. As the discoverer of a few varieties myself (1928 and 1942) I can attest to the fact that you should never overlook anything. Nice surprises still await you. Congrats Chuck!

Nice finds!
I like how you show PUPs with the other photos.

That rpm looks a bit familiar. I hope I still have some '74-d's stashed away in my "possible" boxes!!!

Doug....
You actually bring up a good point about that RPM of Chuck's 1974D looking familiar. I had the same thought at first. The good thing now is that it is finally identified and attributed somewhere. You can search your box of 'maybe's' and can finally put a number on it if it matches with Chuck's. Chuck and myself have discussed the subject on 'how many unattributed varieties are out there" many times. We both agree that it is probably hunded in the Lincolns alone. Hence, the big push on getting more coppercoins.com data input. We already have over 3100 photos of 1100 + varieties. I myself have a couple to a few hundred varieties that may or may not be listed anywhere. This forum serves as a nice place to chat with folks who have your same interests or passions. We can only continue to grow here. Hopefully, you can have another look at you box of maybe's and find something we can add to the site and add your name to.

I hear you there Bob. We've all got a few "maybes" stashed here or there. Even a number of "Wiles' rejects" that boggle the mind like myself and many others. Coppercoins.com has had the big dogs nervous for quite some time with good reason. This site started out as a wave and has progressed into a tsunami thanks to you and Chuck. This is the place to find the "high ground" and FINALLY quit paying for info that should have been free too many years ago! Can't thank you both enough!

I am sure there will be others, both in my searches and in yours - hence having this cool forum to exchange such information. Although it's not a very busy place, it's still here, and when people get into conversations like this I get a warm fuzzy feeling.
I like this place and I'm happy you guys do too.

And I am sure as more images are posted this site will become alot more popular. There are sites out there that describe varieties but a picture is worth a thousand words. And no book can be as complete. Joe
