Thanks for the welcome Dick
Hi,
I’m not a hi-tech guy and the only thing I know about taking photographs is how to press the button, but I hope to get a little better at it as time goes by.
I sold off most of my coin collection many years ago, but held on to some of coins that I found in loose change or when I was looking for double dies from bank rolls back in the 70’s and 80’s .
I re-discovered the box of coins early last year and picked up a copy of the red book and started going through them, I found that I have a few 1972 double dies, I also had saved about 8 rolls of 1983’s that I picked up from the bank . While going through the 83’s and relying only on the red book for information on these, I glanced at the date then flipped them over to look for clear doubling on the reverse, well I was curious about what the 72 ddo’s were selling for on e-bay and came across a link to coppercoins web site, that’s when I learned of all the different varieties. I did make the severe mistake of dumping 6 rolls back into circulation without carefully looking at them first. On the last 2 rolls I found a double die obv ( the test photo ) I sent it off to anacs it came back MS-63 DDO FS-101 DIE 1 , I also have what I think is a type two rev and a few that I’m just not sure of, I’m still learning about die markers , gouges , ect.. I’ll post them when I get good photo’s. I also have a couple of shipwreck coins that I’ve had since the early 70’s I don’t remember just what they are,, I’ll post them under world coins.

Chuck welcome to South-Florida , Great Scenery--Land of the almost year-round bikini or lack of , And outrageous tax’s and insurance rates , I guess you have to take the bad with the good.
