Mike....Take a look at the rim of the coin where that bump is. If you see an indentation, then what you have is die damage from something hitting the coin. A 'rim cud' looks pretty much like a regular cud, but only affects the rim. I will see if I can get a pic of one here pretty soon.

Mike, does the other side of the rim in the same area,have any "sag" to it? If it does, it likely would be a cud, but as small as that seems to be, it is also very unlkely that it is anything more than a ding, from some outside source.

Similar to the rim cud marker used on 1972P DDO die 4, the hardly ever seen one from 1972. Not on the site but in the CPG. The CPG calls them rim cuds. Wink
