Courtesy Coin World magazine... here is a list of upcoming coin shows for the United States. (this is a new link)

http://www.coinworld.com/Marketplace/showcalendar.aspx

At the end of most listings is a "TA" followed by a number and either an "ADM" or an "FR".

The "TA" indicates the number of dealer tables at the show. A number in parentheses indicates how many of those tables are dedicated to coins (as opposed to stamps, baseball cards, etc). "Table Fees" are what the dealers pay to rent a table.

The "ADM" stands for admission charge. Some shows charge admission. If they know what the charge is, they'll post it. If not, it will just say "ADM". Expect to pay a few dollars per person.

"FR" means "free". No admission charged.

I've used that link for shows many times. I just never can figure out why that listing misses some shows in Illinois. For example on April 6, there is a coin shows at Lemont, Il. It is always on the first Sunday of every Month so it's not a odd or once in a while show. Same if you go to a Goolge search for Illinois coins shows. There they usually miss the Countryside one. Just odd. I've always wondered if there is something about paying for a listing or something.

Carl,

From the magazine:

"Listings in the Events Calendar are paid advertisements placed by clubs and show organizers who wish to publicize their events. ..."

You might have the club/organizer call Coin World at 800-488-5351. In the magazine they say it costs $11 per week to be in Coin World (and another $11 per week to be in Linn's Stamp News).

***I am not affiliated w/ Coin World in any way and I don't have any type of monetary interest etc in them. I'm just trying to help the hobby.***

I'm never sure why but this list always appears to leave out many Illinois coin shows.
For example no mention of the April 20th show at Itasca.
No mention of the 4 day show in Rosemont April 16th to 19th.
No mention of the 4 day International show April 25th to 27th at Rosemont, Illinois.

Shows are only listed if somebody involved in the show submits the ad to the magazine.

I work in Tinley Park IL. and there is a coin show there Thursday Sept 4 thru Saturday Sept. 6. So I might pop in Friday on my lunch hour. I am reading on the forum at vamworld.com that a few of the VAM guys will be at the show.

I was not able to attend the Tinley Park show, very sad about that. Looking at some posts in Vamworld.com, some of the guys there had alot of success cherrypicking Morgans.
