I have a problem logging in on some of the forums. Until very recently, this site was not involved, but now it has come to the point that I fill in the blanks, and "login", then before I can get to the forum, proper, The log-in windows appear again. I have had problems logging in on CCF: I can log in on the home page, and it will say I have successfully logged in, BUT, not so. it always says "there has been a problem, etc" Then If I go to reply, I fill in the blanks, and can make the post, otherwise, no. But never on coppercoins, have I had this promlem, untila couple days ago. It happens on the (DELL, New from the VA). It has happened on certain other units, depending on the system board! One case, the MB is a new one, one of the two new ones I have just purchased to upgrade two units. This is one of them, that is being used at this moment, and has NEVER failed a login, anywhere. That tells me that the other units have some kind of problem. All are on the same ISP, same router/cable modem, and all have XP. This is Home edition, and the other, (DELL) is XP-PRO. I have not had these problems before, and have no idea as to what causes it. Anyone have an idea? I use IE, nad have tried to use firefox, but get "lost", very quickly. HEEEELLLLLLP!

Bob, I haven't tried that. How do I do that?
I can understand a computer having some kind of problem, if it is new, and has not had the programs validated, or activated, what ever that implies. I know about Activating XP, but the rest, no. Would that have anything to do with it?

Dick,
If you are using Internet Explorer, you can go to 'Tools',
Then 'Internet Options', then 'General". At the Browsing History portion, click on "Delete" and it will bring up some options to delete. I would recommend deleting the Temporary Internet files, and Cookies. Once that is done, restart your computer and see if that helped you out any...OK?

I don't know, ED, It was working fne at first. It has so much junk on it that I don't know anything ablut, that I don't know which way to jump. another thing, It has very little RAM, from the looks of things. It just has too much stuff for the system being used. It is XP-PRO, and has remote console, but I am not familiar with that end of it. like I say, I can build them, and make them work, within my needs for the apps, and programs, but all that extra stuff, and then not knowing much of the operation from the keyboard side, makes for a difficult situation. I would like to have had at least a semester of training, or better a full year, but it was not to be, so I do what I can, and learn a bit more, each time I hit the wall! Yep, duck! About all the new unit is good for at the moment, is for emailing! got any ideas that I could try?

Bob, went to IE,and am not sure if I want to clear all the nfo. I don't remember all the sites that I lke to visit, and keep them on the tool bar. that way I click on the one I want, and don't have to login, etc, because I don't log out. This because of the password headaches. What would you suggest, knowing this?
