Hello Dick
Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that the wife has awoken.
she is being transferred to the nursing home tomorrow and is expected to recover fully.
so it looks like all the prayers have worked but it is not over yet cause she still has to be weaned off the respirator.
and they say that can take up to two months sometimes.
she has no energy so she cannot breath on her own yet but they say she will be able to do that today so I am in waiting mode.
I spent 13 yrs in the Army so I am good at the hurry up and wait crap.
talk to ya soon
Gary

Here is the latest on Gary, and his wife:
well the wife was home for a total of 8 days. I put her back in the ICU yesterday.
plus yesterday was our Anniversary so it made for a bad day.
this time her right lung was full of fluids. I tried to suction her lungs out the way they taught me to but it didn't help. it was so full that it was oossing out her trac. a pink foam. but the battle starts again. I hope I have it in me to do again. the last one took all I had to get through but I guess we find it when we need it or that is my hope anyway.tore me up to see her like that again but this time she didn't code so I am happy for that. I spent half the night puking my nerves are shot but I think I will get through it I like to think I am tuff well this time we will see.
Gary.
Dick

Sorry to hear about this Gary. Keep in there as your positive attitude will help her through this. We are all in our thoughts and prayers. I've been to taken back to respond before. Now I feel you need extra support from those of us here.

Hello everyone.
thanks for all the prayers I need as many as I can get.
I have not been on line much in the last 4 months but I am hoping that this will end very soon. (with a good outcome of course). anyway I just wanted to let you all know that the wife is still with us and I am hoping that she stays awhile longer. I personally feel she has given up and am doing all I can to get her to come out of it. Coop has met her and know's that she has a very hard head and don't do anything she doesn't want to do lol. the 8 days I had with her here at home was testing to say the least but I would not give it up for anything. she fell the last day she was at home and got a large egg on her head and a few bruises's on her arms and legs and that took some explaining when the Dr seen it but she was conscious so she told them it was not abuse so that worked out. anyway I think I am rambling so I will stop.
Thank you all for letting me use this forum as an outlet or release I sure do need it. the kids are all grown and moved to different states so I am here alone to go through my mind and it is not always a place I want to be. (in my mind) sure is dark in there lol
thanks all
Gary
