When I got home from work I looked at news on the internet. First headline was about our dollar sinking, pretty soon we'll have to fish our Loonie from the bottom of the lake. Then another headline read..."BC man shoots himself in head with crossbow Rolling Eyes . Don't worry though I'm sure we will all be fine. Laughing Laughing Wonder if they caught that venomous snake that was on the loose Laughing

Sandra, Thatmust have been quite a shock to someone, shooting himself in the head; With a cross=-bow, no less! A venomous snake on the loose? I thought all snakes were "loose", naturally. I usually give them a wide berth, but when there is no where to go, then one of us has to go I have learened to run back-wards, very faast, and efficiently! As far as the dollar sinking? It is not going to stop anytime soon! Not a pessimist, nor a dooms-day preacher, I just don't see any improvement, or relief any time soon. Let's face it. Times are bad, and unfortunately, until we, (the people), make some drastic changes! It Is long over-due, not only in your country, but mine especially! Sorry about the sad niote, but one must face life as it comes. Have a nice quiet evening, and may you find your best variety, yet!

Sandre, We are very fortunarte in that we can do these things you say. There are so many who don't have that privilege. I went thru the Can cents you includded, and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. However I tried my new way of checking where the "A" is pointing, and it is much easier than looking toward the rim. Use the rim as your base, and everything lines up very well. Because the orientation of the "A" with the rest of the letters, one tends to do the same, mentally, which causes a bit of dis-orientation. No more AT" confused with "between". Now, if we could just find a few, we could verify my theoy!

Oh boy...didn't he read the manual that says "don't clean crossbow while loaded?" Laughing

I see it's back to $1 USD = $1.25 CAD...is that good or bad?
Friends in BC say a weaker dollar invited US business investment (such as the film industry in Vancouver), but I'm sure it also makes consumer goods more expensive imported from the US (at all those Wall Marts--ugg, lol)

My concern is for friends in Iceland, whose banks have basically seized up, and many businesses (such as grocers) must use cash to import food into the country...just when winter is starting. Sad I hope that doesn't happen in Canada--or the USA. I'm lucky I can basically grow food all year long if I must.

Dick, did you ask me about these AT cents--and did I answer you? Confused

Kurt, it weas more of an observation, than anything else. We have gone thru this same thing several times, and have never had a satisfactory solutiion. I accidently put one on the scope, and it was perfectly alligned for viewing. Then I turned it over, and saw it was a '49.. I had no trouble determining where the "A" pointed, because I had a different reference, and didn't have to orient myaself with thhe "A" , and try to decide. This makes it much easier for me, in view of my vision . Just as a test of my observation, I went thru two tubes of 49's, just to see if there were any "doubtfuls. There were none. The question I did pose was about a 1983, with what appears at first glance, to be MD, but on closer inspection, it turns out that it appears to be a DDO, onvolving both the Queens name, and the title. One has the shidft laterally in one direction, and the other is just the opposite, as in a die shift, CW. It is the one I will post tomorrow. Then you can judge. I don't know if it will be early, or late, as I have to replace a wooden panel, with some sheet-rock. It is the finishing touch on a plumbing repair, that has been awaiting materials. You know what that means! Now I have weverything, it has to get finished, and then paint.
