Yes Mike at least 2 feet if not more, this is not typical for us we usually experience a lot of rain in the winter months. Now it is turning to rain, when this starts to melt and add the rain ...next will be flooding.

well keep the hip waders handy
The last flood we had at my moms house got 48" on the 2nd floor. and that was no fun moving. we got the warning at 6 am on a sunday and by 8 pm it was entering the house. by tuesday it was on the 2nd floor had to use a boat to check on the house.
So keep an eye out and good luck on NO flooding
Mike

I always loved to see it snow! The bad part is after it stops, and clears up you freeze your butt off! Here where I am living now it dioesn't snow, but the mountains are about 5 miles north, as the crow flies, and we see smnow-flakes whenn it gets down to 2000'. Then we get to "enjoy" the frost, and/or freezes that come later. We have had temps down to 30 degrees so far, and that was before winter arrived! I would suggest you keep everything you will need for a "fortnight", ie, a week-ten days, food, and water on hand. One never knows when the ice storms, etc will knock out the utilities, and you will be house-bound for several days. I say this, because I haven't seen the northern Jet-stream so far south in nearly 60 years! It could get "hairy"! Like I have said, more than once, this may be a "rough winter"! Be prepared! If you don't need the extra food and water, you fared well, but if you don't have it, and it does get bad, then you will suffer! Check up on your loved ones, they may need help!
Dick
