Sigh...yeah, those are dies for striking coins. I'm pretty sure collectors who know specific series won't be fooled...but how long before it becomes really difficult to tell? Confused

Kurt, maybe this comment I left, on that link ED gave, will answer your question:

How long will it be, before the coins they are now making, will be genuine US coins, forced overseas by our GREEDY union negociators, at the barganing table? Think about it. How many of our jobs, are now being filled, overseas? Is yours next?

I watched Kaiser Steel go down the drain, and know why, as well, kaving worked there just before they dell apart.

And if the fakes were bad enough.... PCGS was giving out sample slabs in China. They can use that to get the fake slabs right.

It also makes me wonder why someone would pay so much for a free sample. It says mintage 50 but that's for the slab not the coin. As Fred Sanford would say "Dummy" Laughing

Ed, I can just see me buying one of those! I don't slab coins, Period! I can't see where a coin that is going to reside in my personal collection the rest of my life needs a plastic cover. The one 2005 quarter that I have, a real spotty, stained MS-65 coin that is worth 25 cents, and cost me $30.00 dollars, and from March to June to receive back. No, I'll pass.
