Hi all,I recieved this proof 69s as a bonus from the wheat rolls seller that I have found many coins I have posted in other threads on this site.It is one of those sgs pr70 coins(as every coin they grade is a 70 NOT) so please excuse the extra bad scans. It has strong doubling on igwt and Lib of Liberty.Extra horizontal lines under the LIB.Also has a doubled mm.I think you can at least see the knotches in my scans.Chuck or Bob lmk if worth sending to one of you to get the in hand look or if it is potentially valueable just send to anacs.Thank you,Ken

I cannot see doubling in the scans, but they aren't of quality to be able to see that sort of thing.
To date there are no known doubled dies on 1969S proof cents. There are a whole lot of examples of machine doubling on 1969S proof cents, however, so that would be my guess as to what you have without being able to better see the coin.

I believe I have one, BUT I also believe it is a garage job! I'll look for it, and post it, if it is the '69-S.

hi Chuck,Dick, thank you for your comments. Is there a place on the site with definitions of the terms I see members using all the time(like a glossary)?Such as machine, mechanical doubling, class 2,6,ect.I know I've seen the explanations in various threads, but trying to remember which ones is tough especially for a newbie and us less expierenced copperheads. Can I send it to you Chuck or maybe to Bob to check out. It's in a holder and with only a scanner,I can't do any better on the pics posted. If it's ok,just give me instructions and cost or where to find it on the site.Thank you,Ken

Mine is a business, strike, and not a proof. It isn't the coin I was thinking of. I'll keep looking.
